Is labiaplasty allowed?
QUESTION
I am looking to get a labiaplasty, I can't have intercourse with my husband in the light and I don't like him looking at my privates while we have intercourse. I have to adjust my labia in order for us to have intercourse. However I don't want to have this procedure done for its not permissible for me to do so. Please give me advice on how to approach this. Jazakallah khair.
ANSWER
In the scenario mentioned, labiaplasty is permitted when abnormal growth is removed. Where possible a female surgeon is to only perform this surgical procedure. And Allah knows best.
